Presidents Message

Thank you for supporting the ITOTA. I am extremely grateful and excited to begin my tenure as the Association’s President. The ITOTA is an association that is ripe with potential. I want to make that potential a reality.

The ITOTA is a “unique” association. As I was briefed on the history of the association, both it’s business history and it’s mission, I felt it was a strong organization that was built on integrity and a great idea.

The ITOTA has always stood for information sharing between law enforcement officers. Information sharing, however, is only the beginning of the services that the “new” ITOTA will now deliver to its membership. I have four goals that I have set for the organization.

My first goal is to create an information clearinghouse for all tactical operators. I want to provide our members a single collection point for all tactical information. As operators, you don’t have the time to always research what new tactics are being tested and where they are currently being implemented. Our data base and our growing world-wide membership allow us to be that single stop for your tactical knowledge needs.

My second goal is to establish a platform for dynamic conversation between tactical operators world-wide. There is an unbelievable amount of knowledge across the globe. We recognize the need to collect, scrutinize, and share this knowledge with all operators. I envision the ITOTA as a “Global Dialogue on Tactics”. The ITOTA is in the process of establishing this collaborative network of operators who can regularly engage in conversations and knowledge sharing.

A third goal I have for the ITOTA is to expand our organization to ALL tactical operators. We are all operators and we all have something to contribute. We are excited with our first step in this area. The ITOTA has been successful in bringing our brothers and sisters from the Corrections arena into our organization. We are excited to have their support and their knowledge. I would like to continue this philosophy and reach out to other groups in the tactical operations community.

The fourth goal I have for the ITOTA is to provide the highest quality training available to our membership. I have greatly expanded the courses that we have available to our members. We want to give back to our members as you are the life-blood of this organization.

Tactical Operators form the cornerstone of the International Tactical Officers Training Association. Your needs and accomplishments will continue to direct and define our approach to providing the highest-quality tactical information and training available. We strive to be the global leaders in helping our membership succeed in the tactical realm.

I look forward to a productive tenure with the ITOTA-and the men and women who put their lives in danger every day. Stay safe.
